[Most days, when Joker returns to the home he's neatly made himself in Goldenrod, he can be found in one of two places. The first is his own personal 'tent' and office, although it's less of the kind of tent he knew back in England and more a proper tiny little building. He doesn't ask for much, honestly, so it suits him fine.]
[The other place, and the place Molly finds him, is the big tent proper where he's surrounded by a literal horde of creatures of all sorts. There's the Unown group, making their rounds up at the very top to keep their collective eyes on everyone, and folks like Ruby the Rapidash and Blitzen the Stantler exercising with a quick trot about. Angel the Mime Jr isn't very far, of course- she never leaves Joker's side even when she's doing the impossible of trying to herd a literal herd of cats. (Litleo, twenty of them, and he'd thought the Unown were a trouble with just their five.)]
[He seems to be nodding to a Gardevoir and Gallade pair when she speaks up, and he turns around with a bright grin. Even privately practicing, he's still put on his usual show makeup. Doesn't feel right not to.]
And you must be our latest fledglin' come ta roost in our little nest! Jims has told me about ya- glad we could meet.
[Showman to the last, he gives a sweeping bow even as his right shirt sleeve flaps emptily. He's gotten used to not having his prosthetic here.]
[Molly had spent most of the time watching him train the pokémon eyeing the Rapidash and the multitude of lion cubs, and as they're kind of tumbling over each other every which way, she's trying to make sure she doesn't get in their way when she steps closer to Joker. She's not that sure what to think about all the pokémon that look so much like people yet, because you talk a certain way to pets and that doesn't seem to apply to something that can look at you like they're an adult, so she doesn't really talk to them at all.]
[But she watches them for a moment before she really looks at Joker, and takes in that bow, and she can't help but smile at his theatrics.]
Me too. I'm not a bird though.
[She says it lightly though in a way that's mostly a little teasing, but communicates that she doesn't mind. There's a certain wariness to her next question though since she knows she's just had a really hard time, but she's not sure how much she wants people to know about it.]
[Joker gives a grin, but whether it's an attempt to be welcoming or just because the lion horde has noticed new company and is coming to investigate is anyone's guess.]
So, yer a friend a mine too. That's how it works, after all. Settlin' in alright?
[Molly gives him a surprised but sincere smile in turn, and she nods.]
Yeah. Everybody's really nice. And I like the pokémon.
[Cause there are a lot of them, at all times, everywhere, and so they're kinda hard to ignore, but it's not like Molly wants to. And neither does Scott, who is perking up from where he's staying near her feet to prick his ear forwards, curious about the approaching lion horde.]
[The reactions from the tiny lion horde are mixed, but mostly friendly. Scott might just want to be careful that he doesn't get swallowed up in the crowd. Joker chuckles at them before giving an extravagant little bow.]
[Oh please Scott's like thrice the size of a Shinx if he stretches out. ... he's not that tall though, it's true. And they could probably trample him pretty well. Regardless, he remains friendly right back, and coils himself carefully around them as he tries to greet them all.]
Jimmy showed me a trick he does with his pokémon. I bet you know a lot of really good ones.
Well now, I know a good few. [Chuckling, he settles down on the floor with his legs crossed. Needless to say, he draws the attention of some of the Litleo who come to his lap instead.] Ever been ta a circus before?
Ain't a problem. The circus is always open if ya ever need anywhere.
And I'm sure they appreciate bein' out all the time themselves! I think this is the only place they can all be out at once, ha ha. Regular house wouldn't stand it!
Hmmm, I suppose so~. [Chuckling, he lets himself get distracted by a Floette that comes over to investigate the ruckus.] That sorta thing is what got me and Jims banned from the hotel in Violet. Ya hear about that?
[Yeah, Joker is horrendous at keeping good stories a secret, so he breaks pretty easily.]
Some time last year, we started gettin' random swarms a strange and unseen Pokemon, all over! Different types, every day, in diferent places!
Now, me and Jim were too curious for our own good, so a course we started flyin' about ta see just where they were poppin' up and maybe get a few ourselves. 'Course, that meant stayin' in a lotta hotels...

Are you like ... the leader?
no subject
Exactly right! The ringleader, ta be exact.

Jimmy showed me a trick he does with his pokémon. I bet you know a lot of really good ones.
no subject
yes I meant litleo not shinx disregard
[It doesn't take long at all until she's sitting down too, because that's how it works when you're talking to someone.]
A few times. But that was back home.
s'cool no worries
[Scratching a Litleo by the ear, he beams to her.]
So, how've ya liked yer stay?
no subject
A lot. Thanks for letting me stay here.
I think it's cool that there's so many pokémon around all the time.

No! Some of them wouldn't even fit.
no subject
[Twisting in place, he calls up to a Charizard that's been looping circles throughout the tent.]
Torch! We could fit ya inside a house, couldn't we?
[Torch just makes a low rumbling noise that's likely a sort of laugh.]
no subject
Okay, a really big house! But defintely not a hotel room.

no subject
What! Really? What happened?
no subject
Funny, innit? I don't remember readin' that in the contract.
[That that specifically, anyway, although there's probably something about noise violations, and Pokemon limits... OH WELL.]

[She has to hear this. It sounds like something happened.]

There's no way you caught a hundred of them.
no subject
Well, not caught, exactly... We just. Gently encouraged them ta fly inside the hotel.
no subject
Really? And they just did?
