[Twisting in place, he calls up to a Charizard that's been looping circles throughout the tent.]

Torch! We could fit ya inside a house, couldn't we?

[Torch just makes a low rumbling noise that's likely a sort of laugh.]

_{[Her eyes go wide for a short moment, but then she just laughs some more, even as she absently picks up a Litleo and puts it in her lap.]}

Okay, a really big house! But defintely not a hotel room.

Hmmm, I suppose so~. [Chuckling, he lets himself get distracted by a Floette that comes over to investigate the ruckus.] That sorta thing is what got me and Jims banned from the hotel in Violet. Ya hear about that?

So... As it turns out, ya aren't allowed ta store 100 bats in yer hotel room.

Funny, innit? I don't remember readin' that in the contract.

[That that specifically, anyway, although there's probably something about noise violations, and Pokemon limits... OH WELL.]

[Yeah, Joker is horrendous at keeping good stories a secret, so he breaks pretty easily.]

Some time last year, we started gettin' random swarms a strange and unseen Pokemon, all over! Different types, every day, in diferent places!

Now, me and Jim were too curious for our own good, so a course we started flyin' about ta see just where they were poppin' up and maybe get a few ourselves. 'Course, that meant stayin' in a lotta hotels...

_{[Grinning already in anticipation, Molly keeps stroking the Litleo in her lap, tilting her head as she listens to Joker.]}

There's no way you caught a hundred of them.

Well, not caught, exactly... We just. Gently encouraged them ta fly inside the hotel.

With a bit a persuadin', they did! Got all nice and cozy in me and Jims' hotel rooms!

What happened to the bats?

Oh, we let 'em all out when it got night although a few of 'em found homes.

S'the reason we took 'em all in, after all. They were all confused and lost with the sun so bright.

So you didn't keep one?

I did. That would be Coffee- if Torch stayed still for any sorta minute, ya would spot the little thing hitchin' a ride.

Why did you call it Coffee?

'Cuz I came in and the little devil was stuck entirely in the bleedin' coffee pot. He's had a taste for it ever since.
