Mornin', folks. Don't suppose ya would mind entertainin' a couple questions?

[Joker is on what some might recognize as Route 39, not too far from Olivine itself. He's sitting on the ground crosslegged, a Phanpy in his lap. For some reason, he's moving a finger slowly in front of the Pokemon's face. The Phanpy doesn't react, although her ears do twitch everytime he speaks. Not too far from him is Joker's Zoroark, cradling an egg in his own lap and seeming strangely concerned. Even the Ringleader himself seems a bit subdued, lost in whatever he's doing.]

A friend a mine and I were wonderin' about the kind of Pokemon that were most popular, least, and just tend ta get forgotten around here.

So! What're yer favorite Pokemon, either by looks or by skills? What are the kinds ya just plain can't stand? And finally, what Pokemon do ya think tend ta get forgotten?

It'll be fun ta hear what ya have ta say.

[For a moment longer after he finishes speaking, he keeps moving his hand about the Phanpy's head and even makes a sudden jabbing gesture in her direction although he doesn't actually touch her. Still no response. Finally he looks to his Zoroark.]

I think ya may be right. Ha, I wonder if this is what that letter meant?

So, what do ya think some of the less popular Pokemon are? A friend and me were thinkin' about it not too long ago.

Maybe messy or smelly Pokemon, like Grimer, Goomy, and Skuntank...

But even then, a lot of people have Goomies, don't they?

Well, Goomies were a shiny new thing, right? Even if ya don't like it, if it's rare, ya might get one anyway.

That's true. I guess everyone wanting to have one made them pretty popular, for a while...especially if they're a newly discovered species, too.

But, um....isn't there a saying, like...beauty is in the eye of the beholder? So...some people might not like those Pokemon I mentioned, but others do. And they don't have to have a reason to like or dislike them...

Oh, ain't any doubt about that. But in the grand scehme a things, what most people go for and what they don't- that's what I'm thinkin' about.

Riku and I were thinkin' of givin' some a those Pokemon some attention in an event, maybe.

Maybe~. But basically a challenge for folks ta use the kinds a Pokemon ya don't see used often.

I think that sounds like a great idea, Joker-kun.

[He hasn't battled enough to know what Pokemon aren't conventionally used, but he can imagine there are a fair few of them.]

It'll definitely be somethin' ta do~. I got all sortsa ideas, just a manner of plannin' 'em out.

Think I'd like ta battle a few more gyms before I get started, however.

Ah...I wish you good luck. I haven't gotten around to, um...trying to challenge any gyms yet, but...maybe I will, one day.

They ain't that difficult~! An' most a the gym leaders seem like decent sorts, from what I've seen, so they ain't worth gettin' worked up over.

A...a lot of people have told me that. And I'm sure you all are right...I just need to, um...train some more I think, that's all.

[Or train at all, rather.]

Ya can always come visit the circus if ya ever want help with it. We'd be glad ta pay ya back for what yer doin' for Invidia.

Though some of my Pokemon don't seem all that eager to try battling...Chiaki in particular.
