Mornin', folks. Don't suppose ya would mind entertainin' a couple questions?

[Joker is on what some might recognize as Route 39, not too far from Olivine itself. He's sitting on the ground crosslegged, a Phanpy in his lap. For some reason, he's moving a finger slowly in front of the Pokemon's face. The Phanpy doesn't react, although her ears do twitch everytime he speaks. Not too far from him is Joker's Zoroark, cradling an egg in his own lap and seeming strangely concerned. Even the Ringleader himself seems a bit subdued, lost in whatever he's doing.]

A friend a mine and I were wonderin' about the kind of Pokemon that were most popular, least, and just tend ta get forgotten around here.

So! What're yer favorite Pokemon, either by looks or by skills? What are the kinds ya just plain can't stand? And finally, what Pokemon do ya think tend ta get forgotten?

It'll be fun ta hear what ya have ta say.

[For a moment longer after he finishes speaking, he keeps moving his hand about the Phanpy's head and even makes a sudden jabbing gesture in her direction although he doesn't actually touch her. Still no response. Finally he looks to his Zoroark.]

I think ya may be right. Ha, I wonder if this is what that letter meant?

Ha, well they sure make for quite a sight when they're all lined up! I certainly wouldn't wanna run inta ya on a dark night with all yer team out~.

Ideally, I'll reach the point where I can be terrifying even by broad daylight.

[She's... probably joking. That is totally the grin of one who is joking.]

I've definitely surprised a few. It's always fun to watch the reactions of people who expect something small and adorable to pop out when I toss my balls out. Berserker, of course, gets some especially great ones.

I can't say I have any really terrifyin' sorts myself. Well, Rogue excluded and that's less him and more what he tends ta do.

Ya really shouldn't give Furrets Flamethrower, as it turns out.

Oh but that sounds like so much fun!

It ain't when yer tryin' ta go shoppin' and he sets a shop's hedges on fire.

See, that's when you start running.

[She giggles, enjoying the mental image of Joker fleeing from an angry shopkeeper while a furret wrapped around his neck sprays fire at the bushes entirely too much.]

Really though, as long as they're trained to use restraint with their attacks there's little to nothing to worry about, I'd say. He probably just doesn't really know how to control it, not being a fire-type and all.

Unless he's doing it on purpose. That's an entirely different problem.

[That's literally happened. His life is so hard... when your Furret accidentally becomes an arsonist.]

Probably a mix a both, actually... He's the impulsive sort. I'm hopin' I can teach him ta be a bit more impulsive with his ice beam just ta even the score out .

Now that's thinking cleverly! You'll be fine, as long as you keep being creative like that.

Assuming he doesn't just start firing them off in different directions, of course.

I don't think he will. He's a steady thing, when he isn't settin' things on fire. I can certainly rely on him in a pinch!

Well that's not so bad then. He sounds reliable... most of the time.

Which is all you can really ask when it comes down to it.

Better some of the time than none of it, eh?

Say, do ya do those gym challenges? I'm curious how many folks do.

Why yes! I've got six of them already, actually. I'm going to pick up my seventh soon with any luck. What about you?

Ha, only got five myself, or I will be the end a today!

But word is that for some a the folks who'v ebeen here for a while, after the gyms, they feel like there ain't much ta do or any way ta challenge themselves. So what I was thinkin' is that I'd make a bit of a challenge. Do the elite challenge, but with a type disadvantage.

Just an idea- what do ya think about it?

Well if you really want a challenge you could always go find the people who have Pokemon around your level and take them on.

But your method could be interesting! I'd like to watch you try it, that's for certain.

You might even convince other people to try it too.

That reminds me! I still gotta record Guls stretchin' her arm out and seein' how she punches in a gym battle!

Our lil' bundle a slime. Well.. She ain't so little now, I suppose.

Oh, I see. It'll be interesting to find out how those gooey things do in a real battle. I'm really looking forward to this now.

She's been doin' well enough so far! Can take a few hits, although maybe it's because she's made a goo that it doesn't bother her.

Being gooey would help with that. She'll probably want to stay away from ice though.

I can already tell winter is gonna be a fun time. Ah well, that's why we have fire types, eh?

Exactly. Maybe you could team her up with Rogue.

Ha! Don't worry, they're already steadfast friends- he's the whole reason she ended up comin' along with us!

Just have ta hose 'im down every other day since he won't get his paws off her.
