Oh Tom, he was a piper's son~
He learnt to play when he was young~
And the only tune that he could play~
Was Over the Hills and Far Away~
Over the hills and a long way off~
The wind shall blow my top-knot off...
[For those who are still up at midnight and tuning into the network, they'll hear that little bit of poetry. Joker, seated on a bed with a glass of wine in his hand and looking out at the rainy streets, starts to hum the rest. He notices something, however, and turns to face the camera. For once he's not actually wearing any makeup.]
Angel, why'd ya go and turn that on? Don't think too many folks are awake. [He gives an amused shake of his head.] Ah well- it's on, it's on.
Feels a bit strange ta celebrate another birthday! [Especially considering, y'know, he's dead.] But here we are~. Forgot ta mention it any earlier. But don't worry- for all of ya in the Circus, we can celebrate it if ya like after our next show later. Just a day, yeah?
I'd be just fine with well wishes, 'tho.
[He makes a vague gesture with his hand to Angel to have the 'Gear be clicked off.]

[Crocker appears a bit nervous at Joker's wanting to talk about something.]

It's about yer other job. Remember ta keep it separate from circus work, got it? I don't want the circus dealin' with other businesses that I don't approve myself.
Y'know what I'm talkin' about with what happened while I was gone. I heard 'bout it, and I don't want it happenin' again. Alright? Put it on private if there's anythin' ta say besides a yes or no.
[He's at least being vaguely subtle about it.]

Actually - That had nothing to do with Team Rocket. After you left something inside of me snapped with how Jimmy kept grinning about everything and INTERRUPTING my work.
And I -
[Denzel appears to withdrawing his head with his shoulders and crawling more into the dark with the background. It hadn't been anything against Joker but after what Snake said how they function as one. As a family and now that Crocker understands the word family more.]
Snake already had me apologize to Jimmy!
[The man blurts out and holds his breath that Joker, like Snake will let him redeem himself. Even if non of this had to do with Joker directly, the man had failed to understand it did indirectly.]

[Joker just gives a sigh.]
Well, I suppose that's a bit better. At least they ain't botherin' us all yet.
Like I said, just don't do it again, alright? I like havin' ya here.

[Crocker just gives a sideways and awkward nod before he feels his heart pitter-patter in his chest and his eyes seem to widen and is that a settle smirk?]
Question. If you where my friend before - how can you also be my family?

[Joker doesn't hate Team Rocket, but only so long as they don't personally bother him. The question has him tilt his head to the side a bit.]
How? Just happens. Things like that progresses and all- me an' Doll were just a pair of rats on the street who ran inta each other now and then before we became family.

It's all about the experiences you've had together and yer feelings. That's how it's been for me and the rest, anyway.
