[For those who are still up at midnight and tuning into the network, they'll hear that little bit of poetry. Joker, seated on a bed with a glass of wine in his hand and looking out at the rainy streets, starts to hum the rest. He notices something, however, and turns to face the camera. For once he's not actually wearing any makeup.]

Angel, why'd ya go and turn that on? Don't think too many folks are awake. [He gives an amused shake of his head.] Ah well- it's on, it's on.

Feels a bit strange ta celebrate another birthday! [Especially considering, y'know, he's dead.] But here we are~. Forgot ta mention it any earlier. But don't worry- for all of ya in the Circus, we can celebrate it if ya like after our next show later. Just a day, yeah?

I'd be just fine with well wishes, 'tho.

[He makes a vague gesture with his hand to Angel to have the 'Gear be clicked off.]

[ for a troll ( ex-troll?? ), being nocturnal was as normal as day birds chirping about when the sun shines— midnight was like midday; despite his eyes not being as sharp in the dark as they used to be ( bluh, human eyes ), gamzee would be aimlessly walking around and hanging out by the beach had it not been for the showers in cherrygrove ( and that's because his pokemon takes more care of him than the other way around, really ), so messing around with computer-like technology by an open inn window to feel the sea breeze was the next best thing, make-up freshly touched up on and ready to chat the night out.

there are several things that pique his interests here— firstly, that this motherfucker was slamming the wicked rhymes from the soul.

he feels it, man. he's even going to close his eyes as he feels the rhymes calling for him. whispering into the night tag team and complete me yo. he's even got a silent beat going. ]

[Jimmy seems to be still awake, which probably comes as no surprise because holy crap does this child ever slow down? He himself appears to be in a PokeCenter with lights rather dim all around, the rain still incessantly pouring outside. A backpack lies on the floor in the background, visible from where he's lying on his back on a couch with his long legs draped over the arm. It seems to be freshly packed after having a shiny new badge pinned on one of the straps- looks like someone's about ready to head back onto the road.

Leader is unceremoniously sprawled across his trainer's stomach, sleeping soundly with a very small, very fluffy Buneary tucked beneath Jimmy's chin.]

Happy Birthday, Joker. I hope you've had a swell day today, despite all the rain.

He grins up at the Gear as he holds it above his head, whispering to avoid waking the two.]

[Snake didn't forget about it being Joker's birthday. How could he? He actually had spent hours trying to figure out what to get Joker for his birthday. He already had a lot of pokèmon, but Snake figured he'd always welcome more. Besides, that Abra is better in Joker's hands than in Rocket's. Snake got to watch which machines were more likely to land on wins, so he hadn't lost much in the process of getting the Abra.

The Pokèball containing the Abra was very carefully snuck into Joker's room, so it could be waiting there in the morning. Right underneath it was a book about Psychic type pokèmon that Snake figured might also give Joker some new ideas for acts.]

[Angel is the one to find it first- maybe it's a psychic type thing, or maybe she just has a knack for it. Either way, when Joker finds it, he nearly can't do anything except sit on his bad with his face in his hand, grinning until it hurts.]

[It takes him a while before he remembers to grab his 'Gear to leave a message for Snake.]

Think someone left me a surprise gift when I wasn't lookin'. [The Abra, now out, has found a cozy place to cling to as it naps. That just happens to be Joker's shoulder.]
