[From the looks of things, Joker is somehow stuck in a tree. Also from the look of things, he fell in it.]

Well, that was a bit of a failure, far as things go.

So, any folks wanna suggest somethin' of the flyin' variety? Me and Torch gave it a try but, well, she's a bit too fond a goin' fast and doesn't care for the gloomy weather.

[Anyone actually in Goldenrod and passing through the local park... Well, you can probably spot Joker still stuck in the tree. Every now and then he gives a bit of a wiggle, shifts to the one arm, looks down... and then apparently decides to stay stuck. The Charizard flapping about and giving dismissive snorts doesn't seem impressed.]

[Could you look any less uncool, trainer?]

Joker, you just said the magic word. Challenging the gyms at a type advantage? That sounds interesting. Incredibly interesting. So interesting that the wheels in Riku's heads are spinning at a million miles an hour.]

Hmm... But which type advantage? I guess it's pretty straightforward with Falkner. Bugs and grass types. Bugsy... grass, dark, and psychic types. But normal's not super effective against anything.

And dragon's only super effective against other dragons.

[Give him a second to let this all sink in. Riku sometimes thinks a little too hard, and here's one clear example.]

Normal against normal, then? I know they tend ta be a type that doesn't get too much attention, could help folks get interest in 'em.

Maybe we could make an event of it, eh?

Normal against normal could work... I'd suggest ghosts, but since they're immune to normal type moves, there'd still be an unfair advantage.

[Granted, Normal types are immune to ghost, so it's fairly even.]

Question is, how would we organize the event? There'd have to be some kinda publicity. Think we could get the Gym Leaders involved?

Well, consider I've chatted ta quite a few of 'em, I'm sure I could figure out somethin'.

Gimme a bit- I still hafta face off against Jasmine and Pryce so I can't say I know 'em. Haven't faced off against Clair either, but we chatted at the prom and I think I got on her good side.
