Work Clothes

During times when the carnival is open to the public and has active working hours, Joker takes special effort to dress up and look nice. Now that he's become stage manager, he no longer has to do constant costume changes save for if he's covering for one of his performers in a pinch. This means he often sticks to wearing one or two outfits in a work period, sleeping in them and washing only his hair for basic grooming.

Hey, as of game start, he has wings, antlers, and one arm. Sometimes measures have to be taken.

As a general rule, his work clothes tend to consist of bright colors and patterns, along with following the usual statements of his Victorian Era background (although some would say his fashion goes "kodona" as well, although he's yet to understand what this means).

Ultimately, it boils down to the basics of: an undershirt, a vest, a jacket/coat, pants, and often patterned stockings.

Whether in work or casual clothes, Joker has plenty of various jewelry, accessories, and shoes to wear with just about anything.

Type: Jewelry / Ringmaster reward
Link: x
Details: a sparkly crystal necklace bound and hung with pure silver. On first glance they are just fancy pieces of jewelry, but on a closer look it will become clear they have magical properties: concentrating on the stone and pushing one’s “will” into it will result in the crystal beginning to glow with an interior light that is softly tinted purple. This color will change depending on who is holding it, and is not bound to the crystal itself.

Though it won’t be immediately apparent, the light created by this stone will have some of the affects one would traditionally expect out of a “holy” object, in that it may ward off some moderate demonic or otherwise unholy affects. If you think there is a situation where it might apply but aren’t sure ask the mods, but think of it as a defensive charm. These affects will only function when the stone is glowing.

Feathers the Dartrix: Initially a Rowlet Joker picked up during the stop in Alola, Dartrix evolved in the time they spent there, and has become quite happily stuck to Joker's side. He's a fussy but caring ball of feathers, and doesn't seem to understand that he's starting to outgrow Joker's shoulder.

Feather Blade: A small, retractable throwing blade that can summoned back to your hand after being thrown.

Final Wager: A ring that converts the energy of serious risks into potentially deadly magic. When you go up against probability with possibly fatal consequences, that power is stored for later use.

Magic white throw pillow: A pillow made by Steven Universe during Winter Solstice. It is a white throw pillow made with slightly iridescent faux fur, with a contrastingly pink patch of felt stitched to the front in the shape of a spade. The white fabric smells faintly of lavender and other hard to place relaxing aromas, and has subtle magical soothing effect from being close to it.

Helen the Harmonic Harlot: It's a collection of bawdy drinking songs and ballads (with simple sheet music) that someone has ham-fistedly strung together into a stage-play. The story is narrated from a prostitute who cheerfully solves increasingly improbably problems for other people with music, dumb luck, and her her womanly charms. Eventually, she falls in love and wins herself a nice man with her great bedroom skills, happily retiring from her colorful life. The moral of the story seems to be 'hard work, a sense of humor, and a nice ass pays off.' A Winter Solstice gift from Lambert.

Molecular Gastronomy: Exploring the Science of Flavor: A Winter Solstice book gift from Rita Mordio. It analyzes cooking from a chemist's perspective, and is probably terribly dry for most of it, though it includes a few tasty (and optimally nutritious) recipes amidst the science babble.

Country With No Direction: A Winter Solstice gift from Connie. It's a nonfictional political memoir from an ex-US senator.

Wireless Text Ring: a gift from Tyki Mikk. High tech rings that can be used for texting or as an ear piece. Voice to text only. Buzzes very gently when you receive a message. Same universe use only.

Feather Cloak: a Winter Solstice
gift from the Ringmaster. A dark purple cloak that extends to his ankles and includes a thick hood. This cloak will reflect mild to moderate magical damage, as well as piercing damage, such as bullets, arrows, or blades. Of course, it can't repel the blunt force that comes with the strike, but it may make the difference between being skewered and bruised. The cloak also deflects some forms of mental influence waves, so when the hood is pulled up he will be resistant to certain compulsions. He can also use this cloak to shield others.

1 Bottle of Faerie Ale: Powerful enough to get a High Fae drunk! A Winter Solstice gift from Susan.

Family Scarf: A Winter Solstice gift from Carly. A long scarf, with stripes of magic fabric about the ends. The stripes go through shades of red through to violet, covering the pink range as well. Doll has a matching one.

Wing Brooch: A gift from Yuya during the Winter Solstice.

Swash Buckler Outfit: The outfit is a swashbuckler's, but with some key features. It's almost backless, with a collar part and a waistband part and nothing in between, making it extremely easy to put on, though after that you have to tug on little drawstrings so it doesn't just gape open. It's basically a fancy apron with sleeves and more fasteners. Julien's had some experience with the difficulty of combining clothes and wings, even if he doesn't really bother anymore. It's also loud. Voluminous black and red sleeves and pant legs, something between a sash and a skirt in horizontal black and white, and a hat with a feather so big it looks like it could have come from Julien, who this is a Winter Solstice gift from.

Stage Manager Shirt: a shirt gifted by Papyrus.

Book of Nursery Rhymes: illustrated and from another world. Also a gift from Papyrus. Tucked in the pages is a painted card. Both are from Papyrus.

Feathers the Dartrix (Moveset)

[personal profile] pipers_son 2018-02-20 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Leafage (grass, damage)
Feathers releases multiple glowing green leaves from its body. The leaves then spiral in a tornado-like fashion, before heading towards the opponent. Sometimes the leaves spiral around its body before they attack the opponents.

Tackle (normal, damage)
it sure is a tackle

Growl (normal, status)
Decreases the attack power of its opponent. Feathers releases a loud, piercing shriek that distorts the air around it.

Peck (flying, damage)
Feathers pecks his opponent several times with his beak.

Astonish (ghost, damage)
The user attacks the target while shouting in a startling fashion. It may also make the target flinch.

Razor Leaf (grass, damage)
Sharp-edged leaves are launched to slash at the opponent. Critical hits land more easily.

Foresight (normal, status)
Enables a Ghost-type target to be hit by Normal- and Fighting-type attacks. This also enables an evasive target to be hit.

Pluck (flying, damage)
Feathers pecks the target. If the target is holding a Berry, the user eats it and gains its effect.

Synthesis (grass, status)
The leaves on Feather's... feathers glows white and its whole body glows yellow and sparkles, healing much of his injuries.

Fury Attack (normal, damage)
The target is jabbed repeatedly with a beak two to five times in a row.
