And here we are, beginnin' the great Litleo Challenge!

I've already done the gyms 'round Johto, see, and I thought I'd do somethin' more excitin' for goin' ta Kanto for the first time! So, what I'm gonna do is use nothin' but this group a Litleo! This here is Rose Red, this is Elsie, then ya got Biancabella, Florine, Nen, and- well Dovre ain't with us right now since I had ta use Torch here ta get us ta New Bark, and she'd bite my hand clear off too, but she'll be joinin' us once we get ta Kanto!

And a course, we're accompanied by good ol' Jimmy Two-Shoes here- [The Gear is twisted off to show the kid in question.] Wave hello, Jims!

For anyone who goes ta the Circus, Angel and Invidia are watching over it, save for the days when I'll be stoppin' in the cities. First time me and her will be so apart, s'gonna worry us both...

...Not as far as I know. Convincing them to stop trying to eat us long enough for proper lessons would be tricky.

I don't know. Perhaps the Vampiresses leave them to their red-headed cousins, the Succubi. To preserve the color, of course.

Surely. Besides, all Vampiresses have the same hair color, and so do all Succubi. They must therefore choose their prey with care.

It's the case for most monster species. They are most easily identified by their colors.

That sure makes things a lot more simple, I imagine.

It greatly simplifies remembering and identifying strengths and weaknesses. a great advantage that should not be underestimated, during battle.

What sorta weaknesses do they have? I mean, if they ain't wearin' much, I'd be worried about lack a protection, but.... Maybe it's not a problem with them.

Fire and holy magic, mostly. Other elements also work well enough, unless you are battling Succubi; they absorb electricity.

When ya say 'holy', what's that mean? Back home, ha ha, it's different I imagine.

It means it holds a sacred, blessed power. Most of my stronger blades are holy, while the white mages' strongest spell is made of pure, concentrated sacred energy. Healing magics are also considered holy.

Blessed by... what, exactly? Jesus Christ? ...Do ya even got that fella back where yer from?

That name is not familiar to me. Blessings come from crystals, which contain enormous power and are sometimes sentient.

Huh. Yeaaaaah, that's... definitely different from the kinda holy I know about.

Suppose I can't be too surprised, considerin' the kinda Pokemon we see here.

And yet there is no holy type, or even a single species with sacred powers. You'd think they'd make a good counterpart to the Dark-type.

Well, already figured out that what's holy back where I'm from ain't the same for you, so... Who knows what'd that mean here.
