...So. I mighta gotten a bit displaced with our last little fun weekend.

[The people Joker was traveling with probably know what he's talking about. Considering he sort of went missing for a while. Why? Well... He carefully holds up his hand, the wrist of which is bandaged up. There's a small ice pack sort of attached to it.]

When I got transported, all of a sudden like, I mighta lost my balance and... sprained my wrist a bit. [He's still smiling, as usual, but anyone good with expressions can probably pick up the small trace of are you bloody well kidding me annoyance on his face. He only has the one to rely on, after all.] I was a bit in the middle a nowhere ta boot. Guess whatever powers may be don't particularly like me, eh? Good thing Angel's been about ta help.

Joker, Jimms, sorry 'bout that. I'm in Cianwood right now. I'll try and get back ta ya when I can. Won't be ridin' for a while, that's for sure.

...Don't suppose there's a fancy future way ta fix a sprained wrist quicker, is there?

Suppose we do, heh. [Joker awkwardly holds up his wrist to his chest- Maka had said something about keeping it above the heart right?- and flashes her a grin.] Y'know, I haven't really tried too much a these modern styles. Think I should branch out a bit more?

Hmmm, I'm not sure how they'll look on you... but I'm sure we can come up with something decent! Black, maybe, or red to match your hair...

[She's pondering their options as she turns to lead the way to the local clothing store. It's not exactly a big place with lots of options, but not everything can be the Goldenrod Department Store, after all.]

Oh, but we should think of how you'll get them on, too. I mean... not to be mean or anything, but I think you're going to have some difficulty right now.

Nah, it's fine. [He gives a shrug, not particularly concerned.] Angel helps me a bunch with most things when I'm havin' some difficulty with 'em. I outta be fine.

[Angel gives a bright grin, trotting along besides the two. She may be a tiny clown, but she's a tiny psychic clown, and that makes all the difference.]

Well that's fortunate. I wasn't looking forward to trying to dress you myself.

[She's... probably joking.]

Hear that's an awfully impolite thing ta subject a lady to.

[But clothes okay! He starts looking around, a bit interested at some of the more relaxed way. Things that aren't button up shirts? What is this?]

So where do we start?

Hmmm... We'll gather up a few things that might work on you, you can try them on with Angel's help, and hopefully we'll get some outfits you can actually be seen in.

[As she speaks, she's looking through the racks of clothes for things that might work for him, starting with shirts. She glances back and forth between him and the shirts every so often, humming to herself and occasionally plucking a shirt off the rack.]

I'll leave myself in yer hands, then!

[Since he's apparently useless in that regard, Joker will just peer over her shoulder at what she chooses- Angel mimicking his every movement.]

[Admittedly, Ilya's no expert in this herself, but she knows what she likes and she has an eye for what looks nice, whether it's fashionable or not. Eventually she's picked out five different shirts to choose from and moved on to pants.]

I don't expect these will all work, of course, but we won't know what looks good on you until we actually see it. I'm doing a bit of guesswork.

As far as I can tell, that's all clothing is is a bit a guesswork, heh.

[He trails after, glancing at clothes now and then with no particular show of interest. More like casual curiosity really.]

Things sure have changed with fashion and what's all the rage, seems like.

I wouldn't know all that much about what's in style. I just tend to pick things I think will look nice.

[Finished with her browsing, she holds the shirts and pants in a carefully folded pile in her arms and nods at the changing rooms in the back of the store.]

You can try them on in there, we'll see which ones suit you. [Her being the one to carry everything, she leads the way over.]

Well, so long as it works, eh?

[Trot trot trot! Angel especially has to make some impressive hops to keep up. However, once they're at the changing rooms she immediately takes the lead and chooses which room to go in. The 'Gear and wallet are set down and then she holds her hands up at Ilya. What do you mean she'd get buried trying to carry that pile of clothes? Nonense.]

[She gives Angel a surprised look, but Joker did say she was the one who's been helping him all day. Kneeling down, she holds the pile out.]

Careful now. If these fall on the floor it'll make a terrible mess.

[Angel just makes the happiest noise before her eyes start to faintly glow and she starts to quickly move her little hands back and forth. Soon enough, there's a faint psychic something that's holding the clothes in place like a shelf. Quite pleased with herself, Angel starts to move back to the stall.]

[Joker gives a chuckle.]

She used ta be somethin' back when we first started, but now she's quite the lil' powerhouse, eh? Anyway, I'll try some a these on and we'll see how they look. Thanks again!

Certainly. I'll have a seat and wait for the results. I can't wait to see how you look.

[She settles into a chair and notes the pile of old Pokemon magazines next to her. She rifles through them, but they all look amazingly dull for being about pet monstrosities.]

[It takes a bit- and there might be some very quietly mutter swears that Joker really does try to bit back along with all the thumps- but soon enough he's coming out. Admittedly a bit distracted as he tries to twist and turn to look himself over. It's definitely not his usual showman's outfit but he wouldn't say it's bad.]

[Of course, how reliable the fashion taste of a man who regularly wears a cape is to be debated.]

[She raises her head to look over the result, and after a moment of consideration, smiles.]

It's not a match for your usual flair, but it's not terrible. Better than wearing something dirty, at any rate.

Well, that's all we can ask for, innit? It fits well at any rate.

I'll try on the others then. I don't need too much, just a couple a things!

[He heads back into the stall, speaking past the door as he starts to change again with Angel's help.]

Well, while I'm here, may as well challenge the gym leader, I figure. Then I'll head right on back to Goldenrod. Sorta left a few of the members behind thanks ta the whole weekend.

Do you need a ride back? I can take you on Harpy if it's necessary, and since I don't have much reason to stay here longer it can be done soon.

[Is he trying to bounce so he can see her over the top of the stall door? Maybe.]

That'd really do me some good!

Of course, I don't mind. It's not as if Harpy would have a problem carrying you, me, and Kairi. She's strong and we're light. Just be kind enough to take down Chuck quickly, alright?

Don't worry- I've been tryin' ta train some a my younger ones, but I still got my main act with me! Ain't that right, Angel?

[There's a cheery noise of confirmation from the Mime Jr.]
