WE DID IT!
[That sure is Joker popping up on the screen, a grin nearly splitting his face apart and his face nearly flushed with excitement. There sure is a lot of excitement going on in the screen- a crying Mime Jr. being held by Goldenrod Gym Leader Whitney, a Gallade puffing himself up proudly, a Gardevoir clapping her hands cheerily, and a Charizard flying around at speeds that could make anyone dizzy. Good thing these gyms sure are large, huh?]
[Coughing once into his hand, Joker seems to reign himself in a bit although he's still grinning widely. He takes a step back, making it apparent that someone else is holding up the 'Gear.]
Grand news, everyone! Thanks ta the lovely Whitney over here- [Who's still cooing and cuddling a Mime Jr., for the record. Those are tears of joy on its little clown face, everyone, we promise.] -we're backed! Now, backed for what, ya may be askin'?
A proper circus here in beautiful Goldenrod!
I know some a ya have never experienced the wonders a good circus can do for ya, so look forward to an openin' in April! Date's still a bit foggy but I'll let ya know when things clear up a bit! That said!
I need some talent- or a willingness ta learn if ya don't think ya got any. Acrobats, knife throwers, clowns, the works! If ya know some tricks, tell me 'bout 'em and we might be able ta strike up a deal! I'm willin' ta all sortsa things~. An' if any a ya know some medical or technical, I'd like ta talk ta ya too.
We're also acceptin' donations, if ya would like ta see this get done a wee bit quicker~. Or if yer just feelin' generous with all that P burnin' through yer pocket!
[A whistle, and the chaos seems to subside a bit. Angel the Mime Jr. hops down from Whitney's arms to go off-screen for a second, dragging back with her a little Ralts. The group shifts a bit, until it's Joker in the center of the shot with the Gallade and Gardevoir on either side of him a bit back. Angel and Ralts go in front of him, the Mime Jr. much more excited looking than her companion (who's still smiling just not as much).]
[With a flourish, Joker gives a bow and the rest of his Pokemon follow suit.]
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, folks who ain't quite what they seem-
The Eve's Garden Circus will be comin' ta ya soon! We'll be sure ta shock and amaze and make ya laugh. One thing's fer certain, whether you're joinin' in on the fun or plan ta be there in the stands-
Nothin' will be borin' for sure.

Dang, that was fast. I didn't even know Whitney liked circuses.
[But then again, Riku never took the time to get to know her-- the last time they met was during a gym battle, which ended with her in tears. Par the course for her, unfortunately.]

Ha, now I just feel like a jerk. The first time I fought her, I didn't even stop to think about how she'd feel-- I just had my team deliver a huge beat down.
[Riku shakes his head, heaving a soft sigh.]
Plenty of people are always talking about how she's a big crybaby, but it sounds like there's more to it.

She's a nice enough lass, even if she does cry. Goes right 'round the other way, think I've found. When she's happy, boy do ya know it! [A friendly laugh.] Her an' all the rest I've battled against are passionate 'bout this, ain't they? I can respect that, considerin' I'm the same sort.

[To that end, it's no surprise that they're so passionate about it. They're gym leaders for a reason, after all. To the locals, they're the elites. People so dedicated to their types that they're practically celebrities.
And to think Riku used to question it.]
Maybe it really is worth getting to know them better. Truth is, I used to treat them as obstacles and nothing else. Even made a jerk out of myself when I first faced Bugsy.
[Intentionally using an over leveled Charizard... Yeah, that'll win him facors all right.]

And believe me, I'm with you there. I just wish there was more to do once you get all the badges. The Elite Four's still not taking challenges, so I've been stuck with my business and not much else. All the more reason to chip in with your circus, I guess.
[They do say that variety is the spice of life, and as much as Riku loves battling, he could use more activities to shake up his routine.]

[That is the tone of someone who is getting ideas, oh boy. Instead of letting himself get sidetracked, he just stores the information in the back of his mind for later.]
Well, I hope we keep ya entertained! Workin' with Pokemon is gonna be a first, but the results'll be worth it! Everyone seems excited, which is always a good sight ta see when yer in my shoes.

[Because, while the Training Center's fairly well advertised around Celadon, some days just don't work out, and when you're an over energetic Swampert...

It's the downside to having so many Pokémon. Once you hit around thirty, it's a pain to give them all equal attention. If you ask me, this circus'll be the perfect opportunity to keep these guys busy for a while. Plus, they'll probably all become stars in a flash.
[After all, it's something new to shake up the routine. Riku's sure the locals will appreciate it just as much.]

I still have ta think on it, and see how everythin' works out with the rest a the troupe! But it definitely lends some ideas ta mind, that's for sure. In a place like this, lot harder ta shock and amaze some folks who think they've seen everythin'! S'up ta us ta prove 'em wrong.
