Y'know, I gotta say that the future sure is somethin'. All these fancy gadgets, new food, and lookit this make up.

[With an opening line like that, it's probably not surprising to see that Joker... appears to be in a cosmetics store. The 'gear is apparently propped up against a shelf while Joker casually flicks through various lipsticks and eyeliners. He's already applied something to his eyelids along with his usual make up because why not.]

[Somewhere in the background, there's... hissing? Anyone looking closely might be able to spot a Luxray on top of the shelf behind Joker, back arched and fangs bared. Joker doesn't pay her any mind.]

I've never much tried for lipstick before, but I suppose if there's ever a time ta give it a good ol' go... [Joker holds up a lavender shade of lipstick to the 'Gear, humming.] think it'd go well with my eyes?

[The Luxray hissing has finally evolved to bursts of upset yowling and Joker sighs.]

Oh, an' Rogue found a new friend. [Setting down the lipstick, he adjusts the 'Gear so that the camera is pointed towards the ground. That sure is a positively slime soaked Furret wrapped up tight around one of those... weird slime ball Pokemon. Is it a Pokemon? Joker is assuming so for the time being. Either way, both Furret and slimeball have looks of giddy bliss on their faces.] Tried ta separate 'em, but they wouldn't have none of it. Needless ta say, Lightning isn't particularly pleased. Too wet for her likin'. Oi, aren't ya supposed ta be strong against them water types?

[Just more angry electric cat yowling. Joker sighs.]

And it ain't comin' up on our little gadgets either... Ah well. I'll leave that for ya more intelligent types. Me, I'll just focus on the more mundane matters. Don't got a special someone for the romantic day myself- [And he gives a wink to the 'Gear.] -but best a luck for all of ya who do~.

[For anyone in Goldenrod, well, Joker will be in that cosmetic store for a while... angry hissing Luxray, slimy but extremely happy Furret, Bloober, and all.]

[Oh, but if you have CR with the ringleader... You might find something anyway.]

[Have CR with this loser? Well, he might have something for you, too. Thanks to Carmen's post the other day, he got an idea, hastily threw some things together and got some deliveries made. Looks like your characters will be getting flowers today!]

[Snake, you're going to have a very determined certain little Mime Jr. hunt you down. That sure is a bouquet bigger than her little body in her arms. There's a cluster of freesia flowers in the midst of some bluebells... and if he goes searching, he might find a little milkvetch flower. Huh. Mayuri will find similar waiting for her at her room window in the beak of a serious looking Tranquill. There's bluebells involved in this one, too, although narcissus flowers mix it up this time around.]

[Hey Saionji, you like flowers, right? No? Too bad, you're getting a delivery anyway. Man that sure is a freakin' ton of nasturtium flowers with specks of eupatorium flowers... Crocker will just find himself receiving a sparse few coronillas. Envy will be the recipient of some mock orange flowers, and France will get some matching orange lilies (with some spearmint flowers hidden underneath).]

[Killua, Maka Albarn, John Egbert, you three will be getting some flowers too via delivery. All three of them will be getting mixed bouquets of canterbury bells and yellow lilies. It's more as a 'thank you' for being friends with Snake- Joker likes those who look after his friends.]

[Because of course he has to be ridiculous about it, every bouquet will have a joker playing card attached to it. What.]

The circus never stayed anywhere for very long, says Gaskell.

[It is pretty logical,]

Maybe if the circus more often went to a place it had already been to a few times on Valentines day you might have gotten more, says Ruskin.

Or less, says John. [John is mean sometimes and makes Snake blush as he repeats the pokèmon's words before relizing exactly what he was saying. Oops.]

[Good thing Joker just takes it in stride, laughing a bit.]

Nah, not exactly the sort ya would take home ta the family! I guess it's fer the best, got enough ta think about with just the circus.

[Joker gets that expression of Snake's that is close to a smile but not quite there. Of course Joker would take it in stride. But that didn't mean John didn't like causing him problems regularly.

But it's not like Snake was the sort that was often even seen as being human by people outside the circus. He never minded performing and being judged because at least the other people he worked with didn't care that he's different. He imagines Joker must feel similar, if for different reasons.]

We didn't do well with starting it ourselves last time, but we know you can do it, says Ruskin.

[Human, not-human - Snake's right. Joker can't care less. Snake is still Snake, still family, and that's all that matters.]

[Besides, even if he doesn't have scales on his skin... He knows how it feels to be treated as lesser because of his body and background. Most people in the circus did. Maybe that's why even though the reasons for initially starting it weren't exactly the purest, Joker is still fixated on bringing it back to life here in Johto.]

Heh, I'll be sure ta life up ta that faith! I have some great ideas in store. I'd like ta hear what ya think of 'em, matter a fact.

[silentscales]

[Snake is on the edge of his seat to hear the ideas, but then John throws his weight forward and nearly makes Snake topple over if not for the way he managed to gracefully catch himself and John. Calm down there buddy,] John Egbert would make a great clown! Says John.

[Gaskell suddenly seems a lot more interested in the conversation and stops putting sample makeup on in ways that the different makeups were not meant to be used. Of course, this caused Ruskin to make a kind of hissing laughing sound as Snake translates for Gaskell,] What did you have in mind though? asks Gaskell.

Whoa there-!

[Joker makes a move forward, and Lightning stops her hissing for just a moment so she can glance back. But it looks like Snake has it under control. Joker listens to the various suggestions, amused. It looks like Snake's friends are taking over the conversation once again.]

Well, I won't argue with that, just need ta have him agree! Anyway, I was thinkin' of changing it up every few months. I mean, so long as we have these different types, might as well make the most a it, right?

So spring, if all goes well, we'd have it grass type based. Vines for the tightrope, flowers everywhere, some a the more colorful flower Pokemon about.. Things like that. Then we'd move onta water types for the summer, an' so on. 'Course we'd have others too. [A grin to the snake Pokemon.] But everythin' switchin' up could keep folks comin' back for more.

[They had all been excited about starting performances again before he left, but he had barely started when he had disappeared.] Fire types for fall and ice types for winter, says Gaskell!

There ya go, exactly! So sounds good ta all of ya?

[Mainly he wants to know Snake's opinion, but he won't disregard the Pokemon either.]

[Snake nods, but they all look happy with the idea.]

Glad ta hear it. What ya think is important ta me, y'know.

[Angel gives a firm but cheery nod.]

[Let him just beam like a dork for a moment, Snake.]

[Because with everything as it is- with the conversation they've had and how Snake knows just about everything now- that means a lot.]

Glad ta hear it. Anyway, gimme a second and I'll have everything takin' care of. [Because of course he's buying a bunch of make up. Most important part of the circus experience, clearly. As he goes to do that, he nods towards Rogue and his slimey friend.]

So, what do ya make of 'em?

[Snake doesn't mind. His act doesn't really require it, but he takes the time where Joker buys his things to wipe the makeup off of his pokèmon's face. Silly Gaskell.]
