[For a moment, the video just shows the floor rapidly moving beneath it and maybe a hint of fang in the upper portion of the screen. There's the sounds of things sizzling and knives chopping, and then the camera moves again as whoever is holding it straightens up. It's the kitchen of one of the inns, and there's Joker in rather plain clothes. His empty sleeve is tied up, and he seems busy chopping up an onion with his Mime Jr. keeping it in place for him.]

There we go, that's a nice grip. Don't worry, now the first time I've handled a knife, I won't nick ya. Water's ready? [The Mime Jr. gives a cheerful nod.] There's my girl, now just dump this in it and keep an eye on it from time ta time. Beef next, right?

[As the Mime Jr. goes to dump the onions in a nearby pot and get some beef, Joker starts to set up some other things like ginger and some soy sauce. Of course, then he notices the little thing recording him... He looks surprised for a moment before laughing.]

Rogue, ya sneak! [He comes over and retrieves the Pokegear.] Thought you were supposed ta be stayin' with Lightnin' and Haru watchin' over that newborn and the egg. Ah well, supposed that was expectin' too much of ya.

[Now, to the Pokegear-] A good mornin' to the rest of ya! Just arrived in Violet yesterday with my new friend Mayuri, but my Rogue evolved on the way. Looks like he's gotten more excitable for it. [He turns the gear to focus on the camera-pokemon, which turns out to be an excited Furret who can't stop wiggling.] Wasn't expecting that to happen so soon, but there ya go. Angel was about to do the same, but I think she's a bit scared of it... [Now to focus on the Mime Jr., who does look a little concerned...] Had to remember what the book said to make it stop, got fairly lucky. I was just wonderin' if anyone knew a way to keep it from happening permanently? Angel doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry to this evolvin' business, and I'd rather keep her happy..

[Joker turns the camera to his smiling face.]

Just remembered! Who's still in Violet? I wouldn't mind meetin' up with some folks after I finish my little job here.

I am still in Violet, currently. I'm afraid I can't help you with your evolution dilemma, though. I have only just begun looking into the process myself.

[Is that the sound of pages turning? Is he in the damn library again? He sure is. Nerd.]

Well, it looks like I've managed ta get some good clues anyway. So, still in Violet? We could meet up, if ya like.

Excellent, so I take it there does exist a more permanent way to prevent it? And I would be alright with that, I have no real plans today other than more research.

[The weather is too icky cold for training. Go away sleet, nobody wants to play with you.]

Apparently it's somethin' called an Everstone, so that's what I'm going to keep an eye out for.

Why don't we meet up, then? Think I'd like ta meet some more people in the flesh. This little device of ours is handy, but it doesn't make up for the real thing.

[He chuckles a little.]

No, it certainly does not. Alright, do you have a preference as to where I should meet you?

Well, I've been meanin' to look around a bit at that tower, but if it's easier fer you, the inn's just a good a place as any. It's where I'm workin' fer the time bein'.

Tower? Oh, that one to the north? I actually haven't been inside there yet, myself, so if you would like some company I could meet you up there once you're done at the inn.

Sounds good, then! Keep yerself warm- the weather isn't bein' much kind ta us today it looks like.

[Faize chuckles.] Will do. And be sure and do the same yourself. I will see you soon.

[There's a click as Faize hangs up before setting about clearing his things. Books gotta go back where they're supposed to and all that. About 20 minutes later, he arrives at Sprout Tower. If he beats Joker there, he'll wait outside. If not, well,then hopefully he didn't keep the man waiting too long.]

[Joker is just a little bit later, taking a bit more time at his job and all, but he's soon trotting into view with his Mime Jr. nestled in his coat with her head poking out. He perks up as he sees Faize.]

Stayin' out in this weather, hope it wasn't long or else I might start ta have some guilt weighin' down on me!

Oh no, not at all! Worry not, I only just arrive a little while ago myself. [Faize smiles, his Elgyem making a sudden appearance from behind his shoulder. Apparently he's just been floating around, as per usual. Nbd.]

Good ta hear! Conscience can rest easy now and all that. [He gives a little wave of his fingers to the Elgyem.] You and yer friend there ever figure out a name the two of ya could agree on?

Ah, yes, we did eventually come up with one! [Faize smiles at the Elgyem.] Elias Lodestar is his name now. Elias, you remember Joker, yes?

[The Elgyem nods, making a small beep-like noise. He remembers basically everyone that Faize talked to that day because how can you forget something like that?]

My, that sounds proper! Surname and all. Pleasure ta meet ya properly now, Elias.

[Joker holds out his hand to shake, while Angel the Mime Jr. happily leans out as far as she can from Joker's coat to offer her own little hand.]
