[The speaker doesn't appear to be paying much attention to his Pokegear and it looks like it's just balanced on his knee while he's sitting down. Chances are the redhaired young man doesn't even realize it's on. Anyone with a good memory might recognize his surroundings as New Bark Town- oh dear, it's another new arrival unfamiliar with modern technology.]

[Tucked in one arm is a little Mime Jr, sagging in what looks like exhaustion and sadness. His other arm... Well, wearing a Juggler's outfit shows that the other sleeve is completely empty and just limply laying at his side. Joker continues to move his hand about, apparently looking through the things that strange woman gave to him. (Must be something in her head, thinking he was her son, it wouldn't be the first time he's seen that sort of thing.)]

[The Mime Jr. suddenly leans forward, pointing at the screen and making some noises. That draws Joker's attention again and he picks the Gear up.]

What about this, then? [More noises from the Mime Jr.] ...I don't know a spit of whatever it is they speak in Heaven, so you'll want to stick to English with me.

[Worrying, huh? He'll remember that.]

I doubt you would have, nobody who's ever shown up here has heard of it. We're all from different worlds, different times...you probably haven't heard of my country, either.

Name's Envy, though. What about you?

[Translation: What. Worlds, times- what.]

[He seems to ease into the introduction bit, however, looking a bit more interested at the name and smile getting wider.]

Envy! Interestin' name, could think you in my business. Me, you can call Joker- ringleader in actin' of the Noah's Ark Circus, best show in England.

[Shrug.] What can I say, my mother had a hell of a sense of humor.

[He looks more interested in the mention of England. He knew England, once! Although meeting countries is, uh...definitely a story for another time. But then there's acting, and the casual smirk widens into almost a grin. You, sir, might actually be interesting.]

Oh, a performer? I'm not in any circus, but I've done my share of acting.

An' here I'd thought you'd picked it for yerself. Seems like flashy's your thing. [A chuckle and a wink are given as he as he gestures with one finger to his own bright hair.] Not that I'd be able t'judge if I wanted to.

[An actor, you say? Both trainer and Pokemon lean forward a bit, and Joker rests his chin on the back of his hand.]

Have ya, now? Seems like we might have us some common ground then. Whatcher specialty?

In some ways, yeah. [The hair certainly being one of them. He grins wider, clearly deciding to take the comment as a compliment. And oh does he ever like compliments.] Not everyone can appreciate it, which I'm sure you know.

My specialty? I guess you could say it's disguises. When I want to take on a role, you'd never be able to tell me apart from the original. Not in looks or mannerisms.

[Unless you're, y'know. Hughes. Or if he's in a hurry. But shhhh. Here in Johto he's learned to rely on other methods, like makeup or his Zoroark's illusions.]

And what about you? Do you do anything else besides ringlead?

[Quite fortunately, Joker quite likes to compliment people, especially someone so interesting.]

Now now, can't help 'em if their imaginations got stunted! Just a pity folks like them are such a borin' lot.

[Hearing about Envy's skills earns a whistle from Joker and his pokemon. Dressing up has always been part of his particular brand of business, but it's always been for flair and entertainment. Hearing about a proper mimic is quite something.]

Think I might hafta see that for myself someday! Now, me, I'm not so special. [He waves his statement off with a chuckle.] A bit of all sortsa trades, but got none of my equipment ta show ya. I'd have to find me a proper city instead of this cozy little place.
