...So, me and Jimmy aren't allowed in the hotel in Violet anymore.

[Joker says it with a bit of a grin on his face as he's seated outside near Sprout Tower as it's night time. There are still probably hundreds of Noibat flapping around. There's at least a dozen attached to him and Angel the Mime Jr who's sitting next to him.]

Guess yer not allowed ta hundred bats or so in yer hotel rooms.

...Or spillin' out inta the hallways.

...Or gettin' inta the coffee pot although that wasn't on purpose.

Lesson for us all, innit?

[The look on Veronica's face was about as happy as it should have been.

Which is to say, not happy at all. And, judging from the bags under her eyes, she was pretty tired too.]

So, you're the ones that were causing all that noise. ...Wait, you put how many Pokémon in your room?

Sorry~! It was important.

...And a hundred. Maybe more. Ain't entirely sure, actually.

[Jimmy's sitting right there, and when he hears Veronica he leans over with a frown.]

S-sorry Veronica...we didn't mean to bother anybody. We just needed to get them out of the sun, that's all!

What?! A hundred? [Oops, she was suddenly shouting. A tiny cry comes from the other end of her hotel room and she flinches every so slightly.]

What's with that? Important?

[Envy is laughing so hard.]

Who needs a hotel where you can't fill your room with bats?

We're softies, what can I say? They were in need and lost, we couldn't resist.

Jimmy.

[She is.... unhappy right now, Jimmy.]

So, you put them all in your room with you? Don't... they have pokeballs?

[She's one to talk, considering the baby Eevee currently curled up in her lap while the others were scattered on her bed.]

[Don't worry, Joker was too.]

That's what I say! The indignity of it all. I outta complain ta management.

[Except management is who threw him out.]

W-well, um...no...

[He seems to have a baby, too. A baby bat, in fact, who has taken to clinging to the front of his shirt. It's noticeably a lot smaller than the other bats flying around.]

There's no way we coulda' caught this many. But we...we couldn't just leave them outside, either.

Did you see how they were flying all over, earlier today? It's too bright outside for bats, and there aren't any caves around...so we figured the hotel would be the next best thing.

You should. What's happened to service these days?

[He snickers.]

What did their faces look like when they saw all that?

[You. They've been looking for you.]

[A trio of Espurr wander over to the pair, staring up at them.]

[Even to Angel, they don't say anything. Just stare, though there's an air of displeasure around them.]

...Hmm...

[She's having trouble arguing with that.]

So, are all these supposed to be traded or something?

What, do ya want one?

[Oh, these little guys again. Didn't they stop showing up a while back?

Jimmy frowns slightly, resting his hands on his knees as he watches the Espurr approach.]

Um...hey? You guys...belong to someone?

[Joker has to double over as he remembers, his hand going up to his mouth to at least try and cover his laughter. Angel just outright laughs.]

They were either gonna have a heart attack or commit murder, I had to bite my tongue so I didn't laugh in their faces!

[She's noticed that Noibat actually, and stares at it briefly before returning her gaze to Jimmy.]

....Hmm...

[She shakes her head slowly.]

You're really kind, Jimmy. You, and that man you're with.

[Oh, so these things are still creepy even days later. Good to know.]

[Joker just gives a little tip of his head to them, his gaze flicking to Angel briefly. The Mime JR is glaring right back, her arms crossed.]

Play nice, Angel. Can I help the three of ya, then?

Uh...

[HMMM, she'd spent the entire day surrounded by these creatures.]

...I think I caught one myself, in the morning. But, maybe I traded it away...

[...oh. Wow.

...he was actually expecting to get yelled at, not....that.]

Oh...well, thank you. It didn't really last long, since we got caught...but they got to stay inside until it got dark, at least. They're a lot happier now I think.

[Oh, he's picturing it and it's fantastic.]

If they were already kicking you out, you should have just gone ahead and laughed. What else could they do? Kick you out more?

[They nod in tandem, continuing to stare.]

Are theeey....nearby?

[One of them points to the Noibat flock, and another points at Joker. The third puts her hands on her head.]

[All Angel will be able to hear is 'you YOU you YOU you you YOU you...']

[Nod. Nod nod. They point up at the Noibat swarm and then point to Jimmy, all together.]

Well, if ya ever want one, just let us know! I'm sure they wouldn't mind a good home and it's not like me or Jims are askin' for anythin'.
