Angel- y'bloody nuisance ta society, I told ya ta wait until after-

[There's an exasperated sigh followed by a fond chuckle as the video shakes before it's adjusted appropriately. The view is Joker's room and the ringleader in question is actually dressed rather casually for once. A t-shirt and jeans for once, none of his usual makeup... And is his hair actually slick with dark hair dye that a Gardevoir seems to be fussing over?]

[Well. At least Joker seems amused as he shakes his head and Angel the Mime Jr. bounces into frame besides him.]

Cheeky lil' thing. Anyway! Ladies, gentleman, and every other manner a folk that have found themselves in this delightful place...

The Eve's Garden Circus is comin' upon its one year anniversary! That means this month's shows will be even bigger and grander than ever before~. I even have plans ta have fireworks go off during the night, plus a little somethin' extra. Call it... a game a hide and seek, if ya like.

I'll be attachin' some things ta my Litleo and let 'em loose throughout the circus grounds. If ya can catch one, or at least get the prize off their collar, then you'll get a prize! With a few grand prizes, too, if yer lucky. [He gives a wink.] For anyone who works for me, ya can give it a shot too. Wouldn't want ya ta miss out on the fun.

[Stretching his arms over his head, Joker laughs.]

I wanted ta make this a more official sorta announcement, instead a y'all seein' me like this- [He gestures vaguely to his hair situation, the Gardevoir batting away his fingers before they can touch the dye.] -but Angel didn't 'ave the patience ta wait.

Anyway, I'm bein' bullied ta take care a this, so I'll let Invidia handle one last piece a business.

[And the Gardevoir gently pushes her trainer along out of the frame. Sure enough, there's another person taking Joker's place- anyone familiar with his Zoroark can tell it's Invidia using his preferred human illusion.]

Ah... Ahem. For the following, you're cordially invited to an after-show dinner on Eve's Garden's anniversary: Jimmy Two-Shoes, Wrath, Chihiro Fujisaki, Ronald Knox, William T. Spears, Snake, Tensai, Maka Albarn, Denzel Crocker, Jack Skellington, Riku, Ilyasviel von Einzbern, Tobias, Jimmy Darling, France, the Okumura brothers, Miss Meridiana Everett, Yasuhiro Hagakure, Veronica Madaraki, Envy, Lust, Molly Walker, and Killua Zoldyk. [That sure is a list.] You may bring guests, if you like.

Ah, and for regular visitors to the circus... As a reminder, there is a transportation system we employ which you can buy the services of as a one way stop to Goldenrod, where Eve's Garden Circus is located, or two way to return you to the city that you were in previously. [Riku's about to respond, but before he gets a chance to speak, a certain Weavile pushes his way onscreen.]

An entire year? Well, I'll have to brush up on my performance skills. It would be a travesty if I didn't make an appearance, and--

[Riku swipes the 'Gear from Slash, rolling his eyes.]

We'll be there. Maybe I can even convince the others to tag along.

[The appearance of the Weavile just makes Joker chuckle a bit, taking it all in good natured stride. Besides, he rather likes Slash.]

We'll be lookin' forward ta it, then, sir. [A playful wink gets sent Riku's way as Joker speaks to him next.] And the more, the merrier! It wouldn't be a proper party otherwise, eh?

Heh, I'll say. Plus, something tells me Naminé and Xion would enjoy it. Naminé especially.

[After all, she's still new, and she's kinda timid. Maybe something big and exciting like the circus would cheer her up.]

You'll have ta introduce me! Although I think me and yer Xion have met just a bit- tried ta convince her ta join the Circus, ha ha, but I don't think she bought the idea.

[But hey, he had to make the effort, right?]

Pfft. Is that so? Well, maybe she'll have second thoughts once she sees the show.

[Ilya performs, so there's a familiar face involved. Maybe he'll nudge her about it, too.]

Here's ta hopin'! We could always use more performers on hand- or other things, if she's the shy sort.

I don't know if I'd call her shy. It just might not've crossed her mind.

[He pauses, smiling sheepishly.]

And even I get stage fright from time to time.

Well, the troupe's always there ta help anyone out. Invidia's illusions are top notch now, y'know! Makes ya really think yer in a crowded ring.

Helps a person deal with it all without havin' ta actually deal with it.

Wait, the illusions can do that?

[Guh. Mirage has always used them to change her own appearance. He had no idea Zoroarks could apply them to their surroundings!]

Yep! We've been practicin' for months now- Invidia's a top class act with what he can do!

[Dang. He never would've guessed. Still, that's interesting. Interesting enough that Riku doesn't respond right away, too busy puzzling over this with one hand cupping his chin.]

Hmm. You know what? I'm game. Not like a little smoke and mirrors ever hurt.

Alright then!

Just let us know when yer droppin' by, and we'll have it all set up for ya.

[Before he finishes, Slash pops back into view.]

Wait! For this performance, may I put on a little show of my own? I was thinking some poetry readings would provide a soothing atmosphere.

Great. Here we go again...

[Why's his weavile gotta be so darn snooty?]

[Fortunately, Joker's never minded Slash's personality, so he just laughs a bit.]

Pick the poems yer thinkin' of, and I'll see what I can give the okay on, how about that?

Of course. I wouldn't want to pick something macabre or depressing. As the man in charge, I wouldn't dream of picking and choosing without your approval!

Poetry and a circus, though... I'd say he'd be better doing standup, but with how stuffy he is...

[Well, Riku's not sure how that'd pan out.]

[Because Slash is always fun to interact with, even as amusing as Joker finds his accent.]

It's unique, innit? [He winks.] And that's what makes a circus a circus- findin' things and people ya wouldn't be able ta anywhere else.

Still, it's gotta be tough finding ways to keep raising the bar. The shows are already amazing. Just how high up can tings go?

[He'd like to think it's limitless, but he's not sure what all needs to be added to keep upping the ante.]

Sky's the limit~. Especially with Pokemon, ha ha, in which case sometimes that's a wee bit literal!

[It's definitely given him nothing but ideas after ideas, ever since he's come to Johto. A circus ringleader's dream.]

Hey, who knows? Maybe there's a Pokémon out there that can blast into space or make portals between dimensions.

[Unlikely, but this world's already weird enough as it is. Might as well go the extra mile.]

[Because seriously, that would explain some weird junk.]

Hey, if the Pokémon god's a llama, I'll believe anything. You can't get much weirder than that.

Well, other than Vanilluxe.

I think Vanilluxe is proof that llama god a ours mighta had the wrong kinda wheat, if ya catch my drift.

[Seriously how did that even happen.]

Maybe he got drunk on berry juice? For all we know, he's into wild parties up when he's not busy growing grass.

[There's no telling what the legendaries do in their free time. He could totally see it.]

Wild parties thrown by a llama god, and neither of us were invited. Tsk! That's just unfair, innit?

We'll just have to throw our own parties. Make them wish they were invited.
