011 // Video/Action for Goldenrod

That certainly was somethin', wasn't it? Glad ta see we all weathered through it! But Goldenrod ain't lookin' so golden after all that.

I suppose flyin' sharks do that ta a city.

Anyway, first order a business! Since we're fixin' up some things over here in the Circus ta begin with, I figure we might as well add somethin'! [The camera moves to show him leaning up against what looks like an unpainted Rapidash statue.] Got a carousel on the way, some a the parts already here. Got good word it should be ready by the end a next week!

Also, since I know there's plenty a folks workin' on fixing things up and helpin' around the Pokecenters, come down to the park anytime today on yer break and we'll treat ya right. Reward for not gettin' carried away by that storm.

[Action]

[For anyone doing their best to fix things up around Goldenrod- or even just walking around- they might find themselves approached by one of Joker's MANY Pokemon with an offering of a balloon attached to a small bag of treats.]

[If they decide to follow after the gift giver, or just wander near the Park anyway, they'll find a nice little set up with plenty of blankets spread around to sit on and some tables about. There are some particularly long ones, with a variety of drinks from water to soda to those weird sporty drinks. It's manned by even more Pokemon, from the likely familiar little Mime Jr. to a Gardevoir-Gallade pair.]

[Joker can be spotted dropping by now and then, laying back on one of the blankets and humming.]

[Feel free to mingle, bother any of the Pokemon, or just chat with the ringleader himself.]

[Snake gladly makes his way to the little celebration in the park. He can be found surrounded by his snakes while sipping some iced tea and looking very much pleased with the situation in general.

Anyone brave enough to approach the strange, scaled man and his pokèmon will find out that the Snake Charmer is not one to be afraid of.]

[pipers_son]

[Angel the Mime Jr., much like the trainer she started with, gives positively no flicks about if Snake looks scary or not. So she cheerfully abandons her post, arms outstretched with an obnoxiously large cookie in her hands.]

[Snake welcomes the tiny pokèmon over, patting a spot for Angel to sit with him.]

[There's just a shake of her head before she stands on the tips of her toes and waves the cookie at him. Take it!]

[silentscales]

[Snake points to himself and takes it from the little pokèmon as his friends translate for him, not that he really needed it.]

[He begins to nibble it, breaking off pieces for each of his pokèmon so that they can all share the tasty treat.]

[Angel just gives a beaming smile much like Joker's before she turns away and runs off to where she came.]

[...Five minutes later, she's back with two cookies now and holds them up.]

[Jimmy has been helping Joker out with keeping things from blowing away since the storm started, and now with everything having calmed down he's taking the opportunity to rest with his Pokemon. He's seated on the grass in the park with a Shroomish on one knee and a Buneary on the other, watching his Eevee and Furret run around and play together. The little bunny seems to want to join in, though she's too small- and the Shroomish wants to stay right where he is, tucked deep into the crook of Jimmy's arm, as if he's afraid Jimmy will disappear or something.]

AAND CALLING JOKER because of reasons

[After a while, Jimmy abandons his spot to let his Pokemon play around with the others, still keeping his Shroomish tucked securely in his arms. He seems to have something hidden in one of his hands as he walks up, tipping his head to the ring leader in greeting.]

Hi Joker! Doing okay?

Doin' a lot better now that everythin's been taken care of! Yerself, Jims?

I'm fine!

[The Shroomish in Jimmy's arms blinks slowly, watching Joker quietly. He lets out a soft noise and pulls back a little, hiding his face behind Jimmy's forearms.]

I've got something for you, actually. I didn't get to give it to you after the last show 'cause....well, 'cause it wasn't done yet.

Huh? Somethin' for me?

[He perks up a bit, actually pushing himself up.]

[Jimmy nods, moving to have a seat on one of the blankets near Joker so he can move his arms without dropping Spore. The Shroomish stays put in Jimmy's lap even when he moves his arms back, watching Joker with curious- albeit nervous- eyes.

He unfolds his hand and holds out something for Joker to take, offering him his signature gap-toothed grin.]

Took me a while to get the things to make this, but I had lots of time in Ecruteak, so...

[In his palm lies what appears to be a braided bracelet, made with strings of all sorts of colors- green, yellow, purple, and red in particular. On the bracelet itself are different colored beads of the same colors of the strings, with a few of them that are aligned having letters printed on them:

[...Jimmy, you are what kills a man. Hopefully not literally.]

[Joker gives his best reassuring smile to the little Shroomish before his attention is diverted by what Jimmy has in his hand. Almost like a child himself, he's leaning in a bit closer like he can somehow see past those fingers. When it's actually revealed...]

[His mouth actually gives a slight rapid twitch and he presses his hand up against it, trying to hide the smile that's spreading across his face. It's actually somehow a lot more different than his usual grins- almost more genuine, more honest. It takes him a brief second to respond.]

Ain't that somethin'... That's some fine work you've made there, Jims.

No worries on this end, Ralph. Some of our team brought a bit a sunshine through it all- literally if ya catch my drift- and we had some help with the power went down.

Better rain than snow anyway! Got hit by one a those sharks, but I think it was more hurt than I was.

It was a bit beat up, not gonna lie! But with most a my team here and Jims' help, I think we kept it from getting too bad.

We'll probably be here cleanin' up for a bit, just ta make sure.

[ The excited face of a ten-year-old girl pops up on the screen, looking like... well, like she's just heard the circus is in town. ]

You work in a circus? A circus with a merry-go-round? [ Squee squee squee oh my gosh. ] Do you have acrobats, and magicians, and clowns, and a roller coaster? [ Mimi one of those things is not quite the same as the others. ]

[Nothing gets Joker smiling more than potential new customers, and he gives a cheery wink.]

That I do, Miss! In fact, I'm the ringleader himself~! We got all sorts of amazin' things down here in the Eve's Garden Circus. No rollercoaster yet, but I promise we're workin' on it!

[...Once he finds out what the hell a rollercoaster is. Being from Victorian Era England is suffering.]

We're the best troupe in the entire two regions!

I promise I'll stop at your circus first thing when I make it there! It should be pretty easy to find, shouldn't it? [ Mimi's never actually been to a circus, but they're big, right? Yeah. ]
